While WHO speculates that almost 10% of the world population has already been infected with Covid-19, a groundbreaking interim report on a clinical trial conducted in the hospitals show that patients on Ayurvedic medication are resolving more symptoms than on conventional medicine. The answer to one of the most troubling Pandemic of the world may finally lie in the cultural root of every traditional household in the land of Bharat, Ayurveda.
Ayurvedic treatments is an ancient vedic practice that is considered as the best natural form of healing. It originated some thousands years ago in the Indian sub-continent and has been known to cure deadliest diseases on Earth. This time, Ayurveda is proving to be remedial against none but the usual suspect, COVID-19.
A combination treatment of an Ayurvedic remedy called `Immunofree` by Corival Life Sciences, and Nutraceutical called `Reginmune` by Biogetica has shown exceptional results as against the present government SOP of conventional medicines for coronavirus treatment. About 86.66 per cent of patients on the natural protocol have tested corona negative on day 5 vs 60 percent of patients on the conventional treatments.

Not only had the patients recovered by means of natural medication, they were also reported on experiencing a healthier lifestyle afterwards. Numerous tests such as C reactive protein, Procalcitonin, D Dimer and RT-PCR for novel coronavirus are also showing 20 to 60 per cent better improvement for the natural treatment, when compared to conventional treatment. The very common manifestations of the infection viz. body pain and fatigue are also leaning towards Ayurveda.
About 86.66 per cent of patients on the natural Ayurvedic protocol tested corona negative on day 5 as opposed to 60 percent of patients on the conventional allopathic treatments, which have indeed raised eyebrows of the fervid advocates of conventional medical practice. Moreover, on the 10th day test, all patients were negative, which could help in keeping the hospitals less occupied.

Immunofree and Reginmune are being studied in a one-of-a-kind pharmaceutical controlled multicentre clinical trial in 3 hospitals, in India. This CTRI (Clinical Trials Registry India) approved trial is being conducted on moderate COVID-19 positive patients at Government Medical Hospital, Srikakulam Andhra Pradesh, Parul Sevashram Hospital, Vadodara, Gujarat, and Lokmanya Hospital Pune, Maharashtra.
While Ayurvedic medicines were only administered to half the patients in the trial, the results are now getting compared against the conventional treatment in use in India for COVID-19 patients. This comparative study was achieved as a pilot study in Mumbai which showed similar startling results. This control on the randomized trial has now served as a gleaning evidence and allows for a direct comparison between these protocols from the world of natural medicine and conventional medicine.
The conventional treatment in use depends on the severity of the patient and includes HCQ, Azithromycin, Favipiravir and Cetirizine. Natural medication has fewer limitations than the standard medication and can even be used by patients up to 70 years old, with low oxygen saturation and co-morbidities. Records show none of these patients, who were on natural medication, progressed past moderate. They didn't even need ventilators and weren't reported with any adverse events.

Numerous countries and states that have adopted or mandated natural treatment for novel coronavirus have shown mortality rates less than 1/10 of their neighbours. China supposedly stopped the outbreak after mandating TCM treatment.
Goa and Kerala both have 1/10th the mortality rate of neighbouring states. Madagascar, Central African Republic, Ghana and other countries which adopted COVID Organics have seen tremendous results compared to other African countries that did not adopt the natural treatment. WHO has now endorsed a clinical trial protocol for COVID natural medicines and this is one of the first studies proving natural medicine for COVID-19.
The gloomy talks of increasing cases, developing austerity and a gradual advancement towards an apocalypse stands temporarily suspended now. Lately, in India the recovery rate has surpassed the number of active cases each day. Natural Ayurvedic medication is further assuaging public fears related to the pandemic. It is therefore hoped that India too will soon mandate the use of these herbs for novel coronavirus treatment and further ameliorate the crisis.
